Avnet expands relationship with Oracle in Asia Pacific

Technology solutions has expanded its relationship with Oracle in the Asia Pacific
region through acquisition and look at new business growth. Avnet has announced
that it will be working with Oracle in Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand
and India to ensure that channel partners can access the complete range of Oracle
hardware and software solutions.
KP Tang, president, Avnet Technology Solutions, Asia Pacific, said, “The
collaboration with Oracle gives us a strategic partner in the hardware and software
solutions space. This relationship has significantly strengthened our relationship
with Oracle in the region. In January, we completed the acquisition of itX,
which had an existing Oracle business in Australia. We then worked with Oracle
on starting new franchises in ASEAN, India and New Zealand. Our aim is to provide
the right
combination of resources to help bring more solutions to the market and educate
and enable more business partners on Oracle solutions.”

Avnet will provide Oracle partners with channel support, including training,

practices to gain specialization in the industries ideal for these solutions,
such as the energy, financial, government, healthcare and retail markets, as
well as data center technology expertise related to mobility, networking, security,
storage and virtualization.
