Elitecore Launches Wi-Fi Solution for hotels and hotspots

Elitecore Technologies, the provider of Convergent Billing, Provisioning and Customer Acquisition Solutions and Internet Management Solutions has recently announced ‘24online Everywhere’ managed Internet service. A comprehensive solution offering the ability to set up a secured, smart and smooth wireless network, at nearly zero investment, 24online Everywhere helps swift and cost effective wireless network with complete support for single or multiple hotspots, including cafes, restaurants, hotels, malls, etc.

24online Everywhere with its partners offers a comprehensive network setup which is easy to install and ready to use solution. It can be deployed with its necessary components at the location offering the next generation Wi-Fi technology to all the visitors/customers/guests at the hotspot.

As soon as any customer enters the Wi-Fi network, his device will be automatically detected by the local device. But, when customer sends the login request, customer will be redirected to client login web page (configurable). This will entail complete list of the packages/plans as available in the system. Customer can select the plan from the list that best suits their requirement and follow the payment process. Payment can be made online through secured payment gateway which accepts all most every credit card in the market. Once payment process is completed successfully, 24online will send the username and password to the customer. These username/password are centrally generated and can be used in any outlet powered by 24online.

There is also option of prepaid pin vouchers using which outlet owners can offer the package plans to the customers. These prepaid pin vouchers are similar to mobile vouchers using which user can login immediately and surf internet. At the same time it is beneficial for the outlet owner, as it is easy to create and print pins and also reduces revenue leakage. End user has to just add the username & password to the client login page and enjoy smooth, fast and immediate surfing.

24online also offers several reports which can be availed from the centralized to outlet wise usage, accounting and revenue generation details.

Unistal introduces BitDefender's 2010 editions of Internet security & antivirus solutions

In a bid to address the unique security requirements of the Indian market, BitDefender recently introduced the customized editions of its Internet Security & Antivirus solutions through partners Unistal Systems.

BitDefender Internet Security 2010 claims to provide a safe Web experience, without slowing down the PC performance. It locks out viruses, hackers and spam, while providing parental control and firewall protection. The new edition is said to provide enhanced protection against stealth viruses which are designed to avoid antivirus detection by initially laying dormant only to attack the PCs when it is most vulnerable. BitDefender 2010 features a unique system, Active Virus Control, which constantly monitors all of the processes on the user's PC, 24/7, blocking any malicious behavior before it can cause any damage.

BitDefender's optimized scanning avoids the scanning of files that are known to be safe. As a result, it scans the PC in half the time needed by previous versions, while using fewer resources. It also features three dashboard views-Novice, Intermediate, and Expert-to better accommodate users with different levels of PC knowledge.

The BitDefender Antivirus 2010 provides advanced proactive protection against viruses, spyware, phishing attacks and instances of identity theft.


Trend Micro unveils IS 2010

Security major Trend Micro recently announced the availability of Trend Micro IS 2010 Pro. The software suite automatically checks the legitimacy of Wi-Fi hot spots when using laptops on the move. Not only that but it prevents data thieves, viruses, spam SMS and other malware from invading smart phones, inspects web page content, and can even back-up upto 2GB data to a secure online site.

Trend Micro's IS 2020 suite blocks websites with inappropriate content based on specific categories, it chooses when and for how long children are allowed to go online; it monitors online activity reports to fine-tune parental controls if necessary.

Trend Micro Internet Security 2010's annual license per user is Rs 1,190. For three users, the price goes to Rs 1,790. Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2010 is priced at Rs 1,890 for a one year, single user license. For three years, the pricing goes up to Rs 2,890.


Asus launches EAH5000 series

Asus has launched three graphics cards EAH5750 FORMULA/2DI/1GD5, EAH5770/2DI/1GD5, and EAH5970/G/2DIS/2GD5.

Equipped with Asus's Voltage Tweak technology, the EAH5770/2DI/1GD5 and EAH5970/G/2DIS/2GD5 cards enable users to boost GPU voltages via the SmartDoctor application to enjoy up to a 31% improvement in performance. The Asus EAH5770/2DI/1GD5 and EAH5750 FORMULA/2DI/1GD5 feature exclusive Xtreme Design that is meant to deliver performance, reliability and safety.

EAH5750 FORMULA/2DI/1GD5 features ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics engine, 1GB GDDR5 video memory, 700MHz engine clock, 4600MHz (1150MHz GDDR5) memory clock, has a 128-bit memory interface, offers a maximum DVI resolution of 2560 x 1600. The product complies with PCI Express 2.1 Bus standard. It delivers DVI-I X2 Output (One via Adapter), is HDCP-compliant and delivers HDMI and D-Sub Output. The product's dimensions are 7 inches x 4.5 inches.

EAH5770/2DI/1GD5 features ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics engine, 1GB GDDR5 video memory, 850MHz engine clock, 4800MHz (1200MHz GDDR5) memory clock, and 128-bit memory interface. It delivers maximum DVI resolution of 2560 x 1600 and complies with PCI Express 2.1 BUS standard. It delivers DVI-I X2 Output (One via Adapter), is HDCP-compliant and delivers HDMI and D-Sub output. The product's dimensions are 10 inches x 4.5 inches.

EAH5970/G/2DIS/2GD5 features ATI Radeon HD 5970 graphics engine, 2GB GDDR5 video memory, 725MHz engine clock, 4000MHz (1000MHz GDDR5) memory clock, 256-bit X 2 memory interface, and offers a maximum DVI resolution of 2560 x 1600. It complies with PCI Express 2.1 BUS standard, offers DVI-I (Dual Link) X2 for DVI output. The card is HDCP-compliant, delivers HDMI output and comes with a DisplayPort. The product's dimensions are 11.5 inches x 5 inches.

EAH5970/G/2DIS/2GD5, EAH5770/2DI/1GD5, and EAH5750 FORMULA/2DI/1GD5 are priced at Rs 51,000, Rs 13,500, and Rs 11,500, respectively. All three cards come with three years' warranty.
