Acer introduces new ultramodern 3D products

Acer recently introduced a suite of new products with 3D ad
multi-touch technology. These include a 3D notebook, 3D projector, multi-touch
display laptop and a multi-touch All-in-One PC.

technology alive in India and go mainstream. The day is not far off before consumers
realize the true potential of Stereoscopic 3D. We believe this will enable
a whole new world order within the mobile computing arena and change the way
consumers experience technology.
The 3D enabled 5738D notebook is a three pillar system that relies upon a 3D
film coating on the display, polarizing glasses and bespoke software to display
videos, games and photos in 3D. Unique LCD technology works flawlessly as both
2D and 3D displays to create a brilliant video and photo viewing experience.
The cinematic-style 3D home theater allows the user to both enjoy and share
3D movies and photos. Real-time 2D-to-3D playback convert technology enables
the viewing of any video, DVDs, pictures and games as virtual 3D output.
The X1261 DLP 3D ready projector showcases highly detailed
text and images with a 2500 ANSI Lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of upto
3700:1 a native XGA resolution and a lamp life of upto 4000 hours. Acers
feature-rich projectors cater to numerous segments ranging from education to
corporate and BFSI to SMBs. The advantages of the 3D ready DLP projector can
be reaped by the education sector wherein this product can be used as an aid
to conventional teaching methodsgiving classroom education a whole new
dimension altogether.
The multi-touch Acer Aspire 5738PzG series includes a 15.6-inch screen with
advanced multi-touch technology for an enriched digital multimedia experience
with fingertip precision. Navigation is quick and seamless with touch screen
features which allow the user to instinctively zoom in and out, manipulate pictures
and artwork easily, browse photos, websites or documents by simply touching
the screen.
Commenting on the newly launched products, S. Rajendran, CMO, Acer India, said,
In the past 7-8 years we have significantly increased our focus on indirect
sales through channel partners. We are targeting SMB, consumer, education and
government verticals at large. Acer completes 10 years of direct presence in
India, and today we have a retail presence of 265 stores. With the introduction

to further innovation in future technology.
This laptop will come preloaded with Windows 7, which has native touchscreen
support and enables ease of everyday tasks like document or printer sharing,
photo editing/sharing, emailing. The Aspire 5738PzG powered with the all new
Windows 7 facilitates innovative ways to engage with Windows Touch and Windows
Media Center, apart from ensuring easier wireless networking.
The company also launched a premium stylish All-In-One PC featuring the multi-touch
technology. The Aspire 5600 series All-In-One PC has a minimalist design scheme
and comes with Microsoft's Touch Pack for Windows.
Pricing and availability:
The Aspire 5738D series of 3D notebooks comes in two flavors, one on the Pentium
dual core platform and the other on the Core2Duo platform. The Aspire 5738DzG
(PDC) is available starting at Rs 43,500, plus taxes. The X1261 DLP 3D ready
XGA projector is available across all Acer branded outlets at Rs 49,999, plus
all applicable taxes.
The Aspire 5738PzG laptop is priced at Rs 43,500 with taxes and the Aspire 5600
series AIO is priced starting at an end-user price of Rs 60,000, plus applicable
taxes. The Touch Notebook would be available at leading LFRs and Acer Malls.
