Aligning Ferret

This is a unique book insofar as it combines the virtues of a fast-paced work of literary fiction along with a book that introduces several concepts that are relevant to any rapidly growing software concern, covering as it does the interactions of a growing Indian software company named Ferret, which has been recently acquired and its top management is struggling to figure out what is expected from it by its parent company, PTI.

At the same time it also chronicles the story of the protagonist, Sunil ‘Sunny’ Chinnappa who is roped it willy-nilly by his boss, Rajiv, to deal with ‘n’ number of situations that are not really part of his job role. While dealing with turmoil at work, Sunny also has to deal with domestic situations involving his wife and nephew.

Unusually, for a book like this, it works extremely well as a work of fiction. At the same time there are exercises after every chapter that review what you have learnt.
