Tech Tip of the Week
Add a folder to the Send To menu
When
we insert a USB drive, we get an option in the Send To menu for the drive, but
apart from that, many a times you need to access a folder on your computer all
too often and would not like to add a shortcut on the desktop. In that case,
theres no need to access the folder to Copy and Paste files. Just add
the concerned folder to your Send To menu by:
- Open any folder
- Go to Tools -> Folder Options
- Click the View tab
- In list of Advanced Settings, click Show hidden
files and folders
- Now, go to C:\Documents and Settings
- Here, double click and open your (username) folder
- Now, open the SendTo folder within that folder
- Here copy and paste the shortcut to your frequently
accessed folder
Now, to transfer files to your frequently used folder:
- Right Click the file
- Then, Send To
- Click the folders name on the Send To list
