Tech Tip of the Week

Lock your system with a mouse click

If you are finding it a bother to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to lock your machine, you can try this tip and create an icon to lock the machine.

1. Right click an empty spot on the desktop, point to New and click Shortcut.
2. In the Create Shortcut dialog box, type the following in the Type the location text box:
rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation
3. Click Next.
4. In Type a name for this shortcut, type:
Lock the PC
5. Click Finish. You can drag this shortcut into your Quick Launch toolbar for easy access.
