Securing Net and mobile transactions

eSSecom recently announced that it is compliant with the PCI DSS 1.1 security standard, becoming the first Payment Gateway and EFT Switch Company in India to be certified so. PCI DSS 1.1 is an emerging credit card security standard promoted by major card agencies such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB. It is an extremely important component of credit card security and is a stringent standard and meeting these standards ensures that the processing infrastructure is secure for customers to transact upon.

K Sambasivan, Managing Director, eSSecom said, “It is critical for users of our Payment Gateway Processing Services either over the Net or on a mobile handset to have the comfort that their transactions are secure. Achieving PCI DSS 1.1 compliance is our way of assuring them.”

eSSecom’s PCI DSS certification was done by ControlCase, a US-based company. “eSSecom achieved their compliance to PCI DSS with distinction and we were very impressed with their total commitment to meet such stringent standards,” added Mark Mercer, CEO, Control Case, USA.
