Force10 launches C300 and Indian sales operations

Force10 Networks has set up sales offices in Mumbai and Delhi. It has introduced the concept of a 'business network', a framework for building an application-ready enterprise network. It has launched the C300 switch which comes with full line rate, non-blocking throughput across the backplane and delivers full performance regardless of traffic conditions. With full 15.4W Class 3 PoE support, the C300 can deliver full power to all 384 Gigabit Ethernet ports simultaneously.

According to Sachi Sambandan, Vice President - Engineering, Force 10, the C series will be apt for the middle layer of the Indian market which does not need high-end E-series switches –Force10’s premium product which is being used in data centers across the world.

The company will continue to build out its R&D facilities in Chennai to support a growing product line, including the C300 which is completely developed in India, the TeraScale E-series, the S-series family of access switches and the P-series family of security appliances.
