AppLabs named EMC Centera Certification Partner
AppLabs Technologies, a global IT services company specializing in quality
management, testing, and certification solutions, today announced that EMC Corporation
has selected AppLabs as its testing provider for the EMC Centera Proven Certification
Program.
The EMC Centera Proven Certification Program helps
both our ISV partners and customers focus their time and resources on solving
business issues rather than technical integration challenges, said Chuck
Hollis, EMC Vice President of Technology Alliances. By working with AppLabs,
EMC and its partners are able to provide customers with assurances that solutions
have been independently tested and validated for interoperability and functionality.
EMC Centera provides a simple, scalable, secure storage solution for cost-effective
retention, protection, and disposition of fixed content. The EMC Centera Proven
Certification Program is aimed at helping customers more efficiently deploy
EMC Centera content addressed storage (CAS) with applications from independent
software vendors (ISVs).
Testing concentrates on hardware and software setup, basic EMC Centera capabilities
including replication, disaster recovery and offsite backup, compliance and
retention, single-instance storage, capacity reporting, technical support, and
overall application efficiency.
Centeras open application programming interface (API) is supported by
more than 400 partners, resellers and many of the worlds leading ISVs.
ISVs with applications that achieve Centera Certification through AppLabs can
help their customers realize a number of benefits including faster application
deployments and support cost savings.
The Certification Testing will be conducted in AppLabs Lindon, Utah testing
facility. AppLabs conducts Certification testing for companies such as Cisco,
SpectraLink, SUN, TrustE, and Novell. AppLabs is CMMI Level 5 certified, and
has ISO 9001-2000 and BS 7799 certification.
AppLabs is extremely excited and proud to partner with
EMC to help deliver its Certification Program, which advances those technologies
that help organizations manage their information more effectively, says
Doc Parghi, Senior Vice President of Business Development, AppLabs.
