Zensar acquires ThoughtDigital

Zensar Technologies has announced the completion of its 100 percent acquisition of ThoughtDigital, in an all cash deal. ThoughtDigital owned by SOA Software, is an East Coast (USA) systems integrator, which specialises in Oracle Apps and is based out of New York. With a turnover of $27 million (year ended Dec 31st 2006), ThoughtDigital employs 120 Oracle consultants and has a strong client base in verticals like Communications & Media, Financial Services and Consumer Products & Services.

Zensar envisions great synergies with ThoughtDigital in the Oracle space, given its rapid growth for its EAS Business in the US market. Chairman of RPG Group and Chairman of the Board of Zensar, Harsh Goenka said, “Our M&A strategy is to acquire leadership position in chosen areas with the acquisition of ThoughtDigital as the first step in this direction.”

Joseph Ung, Managing Partner, ThoughtDigital said, “We are excited to be a part of the Zensar family. Zensar’s mature offshoring and its proven Oracle capabilities will make us more competitive in the US Market space.”

Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Zensar said, “This acquisition is a milestone. We are targeting to double Zensar’s revenues by 2008-09 and put the company on the fast track to global success.”

Zensar’s goal is to touch $100 million in revenue in the EAS SBU by 2008. This acquisition puts it on the path of being a Tier I Global Oracle Solutions Partner.
