CA’s EITM (Unicenter 11)

Features: The Enterprise IT Management (EITM) range consists of 26 products, including its flaship Unicenter 11. The products are integrated through the CA Integration Platform, which includes a workflow engine, management database (MDB), shared policies and a consistent user interface.

Utilising a Service Oriented Architecture, the CA Integration Platform contains management and security services that are claimed to deliver a consistent user interface and operation across products.

CA’s EITM-enabled products are available as individual modules and integrated suite components to add functionality as required.

CA delivers 60 additional mainframe and distributed products that leverage some components of the CA Integration Platform. It also offers EITM Accelerators that include CA’s Integrated IT flows to provide multiple EITM ‘entry points’ that consist of people, processes and technologies.

The technologies include CA’s reference architecture and solutions along with certified third party products.

Apple’s PowerBook

Features: Apple’s high-resolution 17-inch PowerBook comes with 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution, reading text and viewing images with brighter displays.

The PowerBook includes features like ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics with 128 MB DDR video memory and a built-in dual link support to drive Apple’s 30-inch cinema HD display as an external monitor, providing more than four million pixels of additional workspace.

The product comes with a built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), integrated AirPort Extreme 54 Mbps 802.11g WiFi wireless networking, a scrolling trackpad and Apple’s Sudden Motion Sensor technology.

Additional features are: a slot-load 8x SuperDrive with support for double-layer writeable DVDs; 512 MB of PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM running at 333 MHz, expandable up to 2 GB; 120 GB Ultra ATA/100 (5400 rpm) hard drive with Sudden Motion Sensor, VGA, S-video and composite video support and an illuminated keyboard with ambient light sensor.

Features: The Big-IP Local Traffic Manager is an application traffic management system that provides solution to secure, optimise and deliver applications. It features unified infrastructure services that deliver total control, vision and flexibility into application security, performance and delivery.

Its key features include Accelerated Application function, which provides control to accelerate application performance by three times, ensures that priority applications are served first, and offloads expensive server cycles. It triples server capacity through a set of infrastructure optimisation capabilities; reduces bandwidth costs by 80 percent through HTTP compression and bandwidth management. O2’s Xda Atom multimedia PDA phone

Features: Xda Atom, a multimedia PDA phone, features a 2.0 mega pixel camera and a built-in flash which helps to capture photos and videos in dim light as well.

The phone comes with an FM radio tuner. In addition, the new O2 MediaPlus application provides a single access point to all media applications including FM radio tuner, camera, Windows media player10, photo albums and music and video libraries.

Through Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system one can view PowerPoint files, create tables and charts using Word and Excel, access hotmail account or OP3 e-mail accounts while in transit. User can also synchronise contact images and exchange business cards wirelessly. The phone comes with 2.7” high resolution QVGA TFT-LCD screen and 262K colour-touch screen, 128 MB Flash ROM and 64 MB RAM of onboard memory and a battery that has standby time of 150 hours. The O2 SMS Plus gives one page summary view of incoming and outgoing text messages.

Genius’ MP3-DJ

Features: Genius MP3-DJ vivid integrates an MP3 digital audio decoder, FM tuner, flash memory, built-in microphone, and OLED display. The OLED appears in high brightness on the display and can be read easily in the dark.

The MP3-DJ vivid can be plugged into the PC via the USB cable, drag-and-drop music into MP3 player. It supports MP3/WMA/WAV music format, allows A to B replay for song or language learning and also supports 15 languages for song playback. The player has voice recording for notes, lectures, and conversations. SMC TigerSwitch 8748ML3 switch

Features: The SMC TigerSwitch 8748ML3 has 48 fixed 10/100/1000 ports. Four of the ports can be upgraded with optional mini GBIC expansion slots for fibre connections. An optional one-port 10 Gigabit module can be added to the switches for 10G uplink. It has the switching capacity as high as 156 Gbps for the 48-port switch, 108 Gbps for the 24-port version.

The switch features manage 24/48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 4 Gigabit combo ports (RJ-45/SFP), one module-slot, and two stacking ports, 68/116Gbps aggregated bandwidth, Wire-speed Layer-3 routing for maximum forwarding performance, IP/RIP, OSPF and VRRP.
