GVFL to invest in ConvergeLabs

Gujarat Venture Finance Limited (GVFL) will invest Rs 4 crore in ConvergeLabs, a US- and Gurgaon-based global service provider of wireless network services and mobile commerce solutions. GVFL’s investment in ConvergeLabs will be in the form of equity and equity-linked instruments. ConvergeLabs had earlier received venture capital funding from Anthellion, Global Catalyst Partners and Walden International.

ConvergeLabs is the sixth investment being made by GVFL from the Gujarat IT Fund. Previous investments include Net4Nuts, E-Cube solutions, IceNet, Anupam Infosys and Setu Cybertech.


Riverbed in India

Riverbed Technology has announced the opening of its offices in India. Riverbed’s entry is in response to strong customer and partner demand as organisations recognise the importance of optimising wide area network (WAN) performance for a broad range of applications and services including IT consolidation, backup, disaster recovery and application acceleration. Earlier this month, Riverbed also announced the opening of its offices in Australia. With this expansion, Riverbed has established a strong presence in Asia Pacific with its regional headquarters in Singapore and operations in India, China, Korea and Australia.


Tandberg ties up with Intellicon

Tandberg, a visual communication products and services company, has tied up with Intellicon, an Indian company in the field of telecom and data capture solutions, to introduce a range of visual communication solutions. The alliance will make available to Indian markets Tandberg’s portfolio of products to cater to a wide range of applications and solutions for business needs.

Tandberg products ensure compatibility with a variety of platforms and legacy technologies leading to seamless integration with the existing infrastructure. The products support various protocols such as H.323, H.320, SIP and SCCP.
