Red Hat partners SQL Star

Red Hat announced the appointment of SQL Star as a preferred partner. SQL Star, currently in software and learning services, will now be a Red Hat Authorized Training Partner and a Red Hat Advanced Business Partner.

“Strategic alliances with partners such as SQL Star will go a long way in ensuring the widespread availability of professional Linux consulting and services. We are looking to impart quality training programs through SQL Star. SQL Star will also deliver customised Linux solutions to match the diverse needs of large enterprises,” said, Javed Tapia, Director, Red Hat, Indian Subcontinent.

Red Hat offers Linux and Open Source training and certification through an Authorized Training Partner Network that extend across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

SQL Star will now train students on the Linux platform, train them for certifications like Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT).

The Red Hat Advanced Business Partner Program is designed for System Integrators. As a part of the agreement, SQL Star will now be System Integrators for Red Hat’s entire range of Linux offerings, providing critical support for their solutions and services at an enterprise level.

N R Ganti, Executive Chairman, SQL Star, said, “We train around 10,000 students every year. Through this training partnership, we will now be able to offer Red Hat’s entire range of hands-on training courses and deliver industry-acclaimed certifications in the Linux space.”

He further added, “The adoption of Linux has been backed by strong industry support from partners. Red Hat’s partnership with Oracle is indicative of the growing acceptance and synergy of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform within the partner network. Red Hat today is already a preferred choice for e-Governance initiatives in various Indian states. As Linux becomes pervasive, it is but natural that the demand for Linux professionals will multiply proportionately.”

Red Hat’s course range from basic Linux administration skills such as system administration and networking to specific areas of expertise, such as kernel internals, clustering and security.
