MRO-TEK announces 43 percent growth in Q1 2005-06

S Narayanan

MRO-TEK, a provider of product-based solutions to access a network, has announced that it has registered a net growth of 43 percent for AMJ 2005. Revenues stood at Rs 36.43 crore as opposed to the Q1 2004-2005 figure of Rs 25.50 crore. Profits for the same period stood at Rs 3.5 crore against Rs 1.4 crore, up by 150 percent.

“MRO-TEK had a great quarter,” said S Narayanan, its Chairman and Managing Director. “We experienced growth in most areas of our business, and most dramatically by adding a record 15 new customers this quarter who contributed Rs 4 crore to the revenue. ADSL modems and broadband products are driving our growth.”

Narayanan added, “With most customers moving towards Ethernet broadband technologies, our decision to invest in R&D initiatives over the last few years has begun to bear fruit. As broadband continues to become a reality, there is simultaneous growth in the marketshare of our products. We are witnessing huge traction with developing countries for our flagship product e-SONA 100. We are bullish about opportunities and optimistic of the acceptance and deployment of the e-SONA range of products.”
