SiNett to leverage its chip design expertise in India

SiNett plans to leverage its design expertise in India. It is working on the unification of wireless and wired networks through a single chipset, and has worked on the unified access chip for enterprises in this regard. The unified chipset will go into products such as edge switches, WLAN switches and appliances.

Says Shiri Kadambi, President & CEO of SiNett, “Recent times have seen a huge growth of wireless in the enterprise segment, and there has also been growth of wireless clients which are catering to heavy loads on the network. We have also noticed that wired and wireless LANs have started merging into a single network with integrated wireless access.”

SiNett is primarily carrying out R&D work at its development facility in Bangalore. It plans to leverage the high-end skill set of this workforce for developing the software component that goes into the chip.
