Shrink it

Here is a technique to reduce a set of numbers, say, in thousands, to a higher count, in millions. For example, a number, 1,222,333 will be shown as 1.2 after following these instructions.

Press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. Select the Number tab, and from Category, select Custom. In the Type box, enter the following Custom Formatting syntax: #,##0.0,, ;[Red](#,##0.0,,);- ;
