Satyam acquires Knowledge Dynamics
Satyam Computer Services has announced its second acquisition during the last
two quarters. This time it is Singapore-based Knowledge Dynamics, a consulting
solutions provider in the business intelligence segment. Satyam acquired Knowledge
Dynamics for $3.3 million; it anticipates this to strengthen its business intelligence
and data warehousing activities. During the last quarter of 2004-05, Satyam
acquired Citisoft for $38.7 million.
As per the agreement, Satyam is paying $1.8 million initially and the rest will
be paid over two years. Based on revenues and profitability targets over the
next three years, $2.2 million additional amount will also be made as earnout
payments.

will accelerate our progress in emerging competencies in business intelligence
and analytic, synergising our leadership in data warehousing and integration.
Knowledge Dynamics recorded revenues of Singapore $6 million in 2005. It has
about 75 employees and 20 clients in the Asia-Pacific region. It is expected
to add 20 more clients to Satyams list, while Citisoft has added 22 customers.
