Allsec to increase headcount to 3,000
Chennai-based Allsec Technologies, a third-party voice-based BPO service provider,
will add another 1,200 members to its existing team of 1,800 by March next.
The companys new 1,000-seater state-of-the-art facility built at a cost
of Rs 38 crore will be functional soon.
Adi Saravanan, Founder-President of the company, says that Allsec has increased
its headcount by 500 to 1,800 over the past three months.
The company also acquired a couple of new clients during the first quarter,
taking the total to 12.
90 percent of the Alltecs revenue comes from the US.
With the commissioning of the new facility, Saravanan also expects business
from other countries such as Britain and Australia. For the year ended March
31, 2005, the company recorded earnings of Rs 57.56 crore, net profit of Rs
11.86 crore, and an EPS of Rs 14.37.
Serena increases presence in India
Serena Software, an IT change management company, has increased its Indian visibility
through road shows and product releases.
The company has also made more investments in its international 24x7 helpdesk.
It is planning for both organic and inorganic growth. The latter approach will
apply to those customers who started small but are in need of solutions due
to business growth. Serena sees IT, BPO and banking as growth drivers. Indian
IT companies that have global operations and need to meet compliance regulations
are fertile ground for its change management software.
