SecureSynergy PatchEasy 6.3

Features: The latest version of the company’s patch management software offers solutions for the Microsoft Windows platform. It has also added patching capabilities for the Red Hat Linux and Solaris operating systems.

Among the product’s new features are patch rollback capability for previous configurations, scanning by IP range and subnet to locate all manageable computers, reboot notification for clients, database size reduction and support for adding new languages.

SonicWALL PRO 1260

Features: The PRO 1260 Enhanced LAN switch, enables each of the 24 ports to be independently configured into custom security zones. It is a LAN switching platform, managed through SonicWALL PortShield architecture and is enabled in the SonicOS operating system. PortShield allows the PRO 1260 to be configured into custom security zones, each with its own “virtual firewall” capability.

The PRO 1260 Enhanced bundle ships with SonicWALL’s newly released SonicOS 3.1 Enhanced, adding features such as a Web GUI and a suite of configuration and management wizards. The switch has an optional port that can be configured as a demilitarised zone (DMZ) for public-facing servers or Internet resources, as a wireless LAN or as an additional WAN that can be used when there is a LAN or WAN failure.
