Lexmark P315

Features: This printer allows a user to print 3-colour 35 mm photos in sizes of A6, 4”x6” and supporting resolutions up to 4800 dpi. It also has the ability to print photos without a PC by using the PictBridge digital camera interface or the digital camera memory card. PictBridge is a standard that provides a direct connection between digital cameras and printers. The digital camera can be connected to a printer via a USB cable to print photos. Photos can even be previewed on a 2.5” (63.5 mm) colour screen. Further, the product supports CompactFlash Type I & II, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo with adapter, Microdrive and xD cards.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.8

Features: Targeted at the high-end PC and entry-level server market, Seagate’s Baracuda 7200.8 drives are equipped with either the SATA interface or the ATA interface. The drives include a transfer rate of 80 Mbps, a standard cache of 8 MB with an option for 16 MB, an average seek time of 8 milli seconds, and a spindle speed of 7,200 rpm. Storage capacities start from 200 GB to 400 GB on a new three-platter platform. Seagate says that this platform gives the ability to supply a higher data density using fewer discs and heads, which in turn results in faster performance. Additional performance enhancements for the drives come from NCQ (Native Command Queuing) technology. Seagate says that NCQ can make application loading and file copying faster for everyday mainstream users. When used with hyper-threading technology, it lets multiple applications to send I/O requests at the same time. Seagate is recommending the drives for high-end PCs, gaming systems and small workgroup servers.
