VERITAS NetBackup REO 4000

Features: REO 4000, a disk-based backup and recovery appliance, is capable of operating up to 64 virtual tape drives while providing performance and data protection of a RAID 5 disk array. REO 4000 is qualified for use with Veritas NetBackup Enterprise Server and NetBackup 5.0 Server. In the virtual tape mode, the REO 4000 moves data to disk in the LTO-2 tape format. REO 4000 brings support for Veritas’ customers’ Solaris and Windows storage area networks using Fibre Channel. Epson Stylus Photo R800

Features: This inkjet photo printer employs ultrachrome hi-gloss ink to produce glossy prints. The Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink set includes eight cartridges and features the gloss optimiser as well as photo black and matte black ink cartridges.

The Epson Stylus Photo R800 allows the user to retain the photo black and matte black ink cartridges in the printer at all times. Further, the printer driver determines which black ink to use based on paper type selection. In addition to cyan, magenta and yellow inks, the set includes red and blue inks. HP Cinema Digital Projector

Features: The instant home cinema digital projector has an integrated DVD player, built-in subwoofer, and 2:1 surround sound. It supports VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-audio and MP3 audio playback. It displays jpeg image slideshows from a disc.

BioEnable TimeScan v1000s

Features: TimeScan v1000 is a fingerprint recognition-based time attendance recorder and access controller. It is for medium and large offices, branches, factories or sites. TimeScan plugs directly into the network hub or switch. The device has its own IP address and can communicate with a central server anywhere on the network. It can be accessed from the Internet, and in case a fixed IP address is assigned, it can register, store, match fingerprints and send transaction log records to a central server.

In case of server unavailability, it can backup logs in its memory. TimeScan is available in three versions with 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 fingerprints respectively. It comes with remote management software (BioSecure), which can manage hundreds of TimeScan terminals in the network. It offers fast and perfect authentication (less than 1 sec.) through algorithms, and combines several authentication types (fingerprint, password, and card).

MicroWorld WebScan

Features: WebScan is a security solution to protect GNU/Linux-based systems. The product is specifically designed for systems that act as proxy servers or gateways and run on the GNU/Linux platform. It allows organisations to control the type of Web traffic content flowing through the gateway and to offer protection from harmful viruses that may creep in through Linux-based proxy servers.

The solution combines both antivirus and content security features such as content policy violations for viruses, worms, Trojans and other malware. The product also allows blacklisting of MIME file types such as audio, video and pictures. Unauthorised access to certain Web sites can be blocked because the product contains a feature which classifies websites based on rating by organisations like RASCi, Safe Surf and ICRA. SMC EZ Connect Cardbus Adapter
