Patni wins export award
Patni Computer Systems has received the Award for Excellence in Electronics
for the year 2002-03 from the Department of Information Technology, Ministry
of Communications & Information Technology, government of India. Patni was
chosen as the top company in the Computer Software category.
The awards recognise a company’s performance in exports
of electronics and computer software. Patni’s exports jumped to Rs 966
crore in 2002-03 from Rs 740 crore in 2001-02. Commenting on the awards, P J
Kutar, resident director, Patni said, “Over the years we have emerged as
one of the largest software solution providers in India. and stand committed
to the growth of the Indian IT industry.”
