Seagate appoints Redington

Seagate has appointed IT distributor Redington to enhance its distribution network in India.

“We are reaching out to the growing SME market across India. With 32 offices nationwide, Redington India has one of the strongest networks of resellers and offices in the country. It will help extend the reach of Seagate’s products,” says Sharad Srivastava, Country Manager of Seagate India.

Ramco’s SME strategy pays off

Ramco Systems has announced a clutch of customer wins for Ramco e.Applications in the Indian SME segment. Recent customer wins include organisations across the country—Angel Zippel, Berger Becker, Bhikaji Foods, Camozzi, Denison Hydraulics, Ciba Speciality Chemicals, Morgan Constructions, Novar India and Yash Papers.

Commenting upon the company’s success in the SMB space, R Shankar, Country Manager & Head- IMEA (India, Middle East and Africa), Ramco Systems said, “Indian SMEs are on the threshold of closer integration with the global economy. Our ecosystem of partners and resellers is helping us penetrate the SME segment by achieving successful implementations in a rapid timeframe.”

Ramco recently forged strategic alliances with several partners and it plans to establish 25 channel partnerships in 2005.

Infosys to contribute Rs 5 crore to PM’s National Relief Fund

Infosys Technologies has announced a contribution of Rs 5 crore to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to assist the victims of the tsunami wave that ravaged South and South East Asia on 26th December, 2004. In its effort to reach out to the tens of thousands of people rendered homeless, the company is also actively supporting its employees’ efforts across group companies globally, to make monetary and material contributions towards aid operations.
