Marico Industries selects Aventail's Smart SSL VPN

Aventail Corporation has been selected by Marico Industries to deploy its SSL VPN solution. The Aventail EX-1500 appliance, built on the Aventail Secure Access Policy (ASAPTM) Platform Version 8.0, will integrate with Marico’s existing network and enable secure access to data from any remote location. “In the FMCG business, it is important to have secure access to information on the move. With the Aventail Smart SSL VPN, Marico has created a wide range of “secure” accessibility options,” said Vinit Thakur, head of Information Technology, Marico Industries. “The Aventail EX-1500 has been deployed for e-mail and SAP access. In the near future, we plan to add other applications as well. This will also further enhance our security architecture that currently comprises leading brands such as Check Point, ISS Real Secure, Nokia, Nortel and Trend Micro.” Marico is a leading Indian FMCG player operating in consumer products, skin care services and global ayurvedics businesses.
