T-Systems headcount to touch 1,000

T–Systems, the software development division of Deutsche Telekom AG is looking at expanding its operations in India by hiring aggressively. Tony Wadhawan, MD, T-Systems India said, “We plan to ramp up our manpower strength to 500 by December next year and further on to 1,000 within 36 months.” The company plans to recruit professionals in the areas of ERP (SAP), CRM (Siebel, Clarify) and database technologies (Oracle).

Infinity to set up a Rs 80-crore IT facility in Kolkata

Infinity Infotech Parks will be setting up a 550,000 sq ft IT facility at the Salt Lake Electronics Complex in Kolkata. Christened ‘Infinity Benchmark’, the Rs. 80-crore project will have 300,000 sq ft of office space, a food court, electronics mart, a gym, tennis court, swimming pool and Kolkata’s first multi-level car park spread across 150,000 sq ft on five floors capable of accommodating 600 cars.

The facility will be completed in two years, with the first phase of 250,000 sq ft catering to the social infrastructure portion that will be completed within the next 15 months. Infinity Infotech Parks (IIPL) is a joint venture company backed by WEBEL, the IT wing of the state government.
