Colour: Making inroads in the Indian market
Colour has always attracted us more than the mundane black and white images and printing is no exception. The impact that colour printing can deliver is far more enriching than black and white.

HP gets aggressive with more offerings
HP India has chalked out that colour in office is one of the major priority for the company. The company has been growing by more than 100 per cent in terms of units and both its laser printers and MFDs are gaining momentum in the country.

Samsung wants to join the party
The vision that Samsung has for the next two years is to become the leader in the digital technology segment and colour in office is going to play a major role in the company’s endeavour to achieve this. Aseem Kumar, Senior Manager, Value Product Head, Samsung India, said, “Printing technology is one of the high growth areas for Samsung in the coming fiscal.

Sharp wants to get sharper
Most of the vendors today are trying to join the colour in office market. The company recently launched full colour multi-function digital system AR-C170M.

Toshiba plans to march ahead
Toshiba is also aware that the colour in office market has been growing at an alarming pace and it is trying to address the MFD market quite aggressively.

Canon making its presence felt
Printing is one of the priority technology for Canon India and in the value proposition this is one of the businesses which, the company feels would yield growing revenue.

Gartner predicts rise in colour market
Gartner forecasts that the unit sales in India will rise from 12,70,378 in 2003 to 15,33,092 in 2008. In many developed countries, one-third of printing has moved to colour already. In India, the trend has just started.
