Airtel launches Mail Live

Circuit EC / Hyderabad

AirTel has launched ‘Mail Live’, a service that allows customers to access office e-mails, add/edit contacts, manage tasks and schedule a calendar directly from the mobile through SMS, WAP or GPRS. Mail Live works on Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003; Lotus Domino 5x, 6x; and Novell GroupWise 6.0, 6.5 servers. Mail Live provides multi-device compatibility and can be accessed through Palm, Pocket PC and Symbian smartphones.

Launched in association with JP Mobile’s SureWave Enterprise Server, Mail Live brings a suite of services including push e-mail, personal information management, and other customised mobile data solutions to professionals using a wide range of GPRS, WAP and SMS devices. Business customers can use their existing handsets or upgrade to the latest smart phones based on the needs of their employees to efficiently access email and corporate data, receive on-demand information and make voice calls. With Airtel’s Mail Live, customers can read, reply, forward, delete or compose e-mail from their corporate e-mail account. In addition, they can also modify contacts, view/edit attachments directly from their Airtel phone and find them reflected on their corporate server account.
