Zenith launches seven notebooks

CIRCUIT EC / Mumbai

Zenith Computers announced the launch of its range of seven notebooks. Termed as the ‘power of seven’, the machines cater to the entire corporate hierarchy—from the sales executive to the CEO. Raj Saraf, CMD, Zenith Computers said, “We intend to enable every professional with the power to work from the place of their choice with effective use of technology which can help boost productivity.” Simply put, ‘the power of seven’ has seven factors—performance, function, integration, cost (acquisition), cost (sustenance), mobility and usability.

According to IDC Directions 2004, the notebook market has grown 170 percent this quarter over the same quarter last year. The company’s turnover last fiscal was Rs 285 crore and 95 percent of it came from the Zenith brand. It maintains that it has sold 3,000 notebooks in 2003-04 and is expecting a 300 percent growth in India in the next year. The notebooks start from Rs 32,000 and go up to Rs 90,000.
