InfoTech fine-tunes its business strategy

HYDERABAD

InfoTech Enterprises, engaged in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), engineering and IT solutions, has decided to focus on five major areas to achieve sustainable growth over the next few years. The company believes that growth can be achieved by focusing on a customer-centric approach, building domain expertise and vertical focus, developing a global delivery model, and generating human capital.

“It is my belief that continued focus on the above five critical elements will [give us] profitable and sustainable growth,” B V R Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, InfoTech Enterprises said. According to him, the company continues to improve systems, processes, delivery models and service offerings to ensure new businesses while ensuring that existing customers are satisfied.

According to Sudhir Sethi, president and executive director, InfoTech, the company is in the process of realigning the delivery, supporting functions, sales and marketing along key verticals to develop solutions that improve the company’s existing domain expertise. “We plan to recruit experts in these domain areas to increase value added services to our customers,” Sethi said. As part of a global delivery focus, the company will focus on establishing near-shore development centres to provide real-time, cost-effective and quality services, he added.

In a bid to improve operational efficiency, the company has roped in management consultant M B Athreya to train executives from India, the US, the UK and Europe. The company has inducted P N Thirunarayana, professor of marketing at IIM, Bangalore, to enhance its intrinsic business strengths, and PricewaterhouseCoopers to address existing and anticipated business risks.
