Zenith looks set to lure MSPs with MSP@SAAZ

Chitra Padmanabhan / Mumbai

Akash Saraf

After the success of SAAZ, an infrastructure management product for corporates, Zenith Infotech has recently launched its second product targeted at companies interested in the managed service provider (MSP) space. The strategy is to offer a cost-effective product that can help a company enter the MSP space in two weeks.

Currently the global IT services management market stands at $14 billion of which the remote management market constitutes about $1.5 billion. By 2008, the remote management market is likely to grow to about $50 billion. Zenith’s marketing initiatives are directed towards getting a bigger share of the remote management business. “We estimate MSP@SAAZ will get us business of Rs 7 crore in the coming year and believe that it has potential to grow six-fold. The coming fiscal will probably see Zenith register 25 percent growth in revenues. By the end of December we are confident of signing at least 100 MSPs and are targeting a client base of 500 MSPs by end 2005,” says Akash Saraf, joint MD and CEO, Zenith Infotech.

Though more and more companies are looking at making a foray into the remote management business, the cost associated with setting up the infrastructure remains a stumbling block. Saraf claims that with this solution any company wishing to get into the managed services business can do so with a minimal investment of $25,000 and be online in two weeks. Zenith has capitalised on the fact that there is a dearth of solutions in the market that help a company get into the MSP space at a relatively low cost. To illustrate his point, Saraf says, “Developing a remote management package would cost $500,000 to $1 million and take up to a year. An upfront investment of up to 80 percent can be saved with our remote infrastructure tool.”
