Analog Devices rolls out Blackfin Fusiv platform

CIRCUIT EC / Hyderabad

Analog Devices has launched the Blackfin Fusiv platform, a technology to deliver high-speed data, voice and video in a single solution. Integrating Blackfin architecture with the network processing of Analog’s Fusiv technology enables high-quality video, voice and data services for applications such as data and media gateways, integrated access devices, and IP-PBXs for residential and business markets.

“By combining video, voice, and data services on the same platform, Analog has created a solution that should drive down prices and drive up demand in the customer premises equipment devices market,” said Hari Surapaneni, director, network media platforms, Analog.

The company expects the Blackfin Fusiv platform business to be around $300 million per year from 2006 onwards. In the first year, it expects orders between $80 million and $100 million.
