Sierra Atlantic launches testing services lab

CIRCUIT EC / Hyderabad

Sierra Atlantic has launched a software testing service called ‘Offshore Software Interoperability Lab’ and an ‘Application in the Network’ validation service. Based out of Hyderabad, the lab provides low-cost testing services that enable software and hardware vendors to certify their products prior to release, and allow enterprises to test products before deployment. The testing helps match scalability, performance and functionality with specifications.

“Our relationship in R&D with virtually every major enterprise software vendor gives us the expertise to manage outsourced quality assurance and inter-operability testing. Software and hardware vendors are assured that a given product works the way they need it to, without incurring high post-deployment re-engineering costs,” said Sarath Sura, managing director of Sierra Atlantic.

Many software companies have in-house testing facilities, and there are a small number of independent labs which conduct compatibility testing. But Sierra Atlantic’s lab takes testing to the next level as it works with all major platforms. According to the company, this testing lab is the first independent third-party lab with comprehensive infrastructure facilities such as software platforms running enterprise applications. This lab is helpful to those companies which don’t have access to testing environments and need to sort out errors before going into production. The inter-operability market includes ISVs, portal builders, security applications, etc. According to Gartner estimates, the global software testing market stands at $13 billion. The software testing services business is expected to generate 15-20 percent of the total revenues of the company.
