The Lotus Suites enables Wi-Fi access

In this searing heat, imagine how nice it would be if you could get your work done sitting by a swimming pool! The Lotus Suites, an Ecotel hotel, has Wi-Fi-enabled its premises offering wireless connectivity over a 128 kbps leased line.

According to Ranjan Gupta, managing director, Lotus Suites, “Business travellers and corporate executives who prefer a combination of work and pleasure can access the Net [anywhere on the premises], be it from the lobby, business centre, coffee shop or even within the room.” The hotel provides a wireless card to laptop users.

The Wi-Fi services have been outsourced to Adino Telecom. As a part of this initiative, 38 access points have been installed within a radius of 500 metres. To facilitate business communication, the company has also installed video conferencing equipment.
