Dell

Latitude 100L

Dell has introduced the Latitude 100L, a desktop replacement notebook computer designed for small businesses and institutional customers. Starting at Rs 62,082, the Latitude 100L handles essential computing tasks like word processing, e-mail and Internet access.

Weighing slightly more than three kilograms, the 100L can be custom configured with Intel Celeron or Mobile Pentium 4 processors, 14.1 or 15-inch displays, 20 GB to 60 GB hard drives and a variety of fixed optical drives. Optional integrated wireless capability is also available.

  • Choice of Intel Celeron processors at 2.40 GHz or Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor at 2.66 GHz combined with the Intel 852GMV chipset
  • Choice of 14.1 or 15-inch XGA (1024 x 768) display

  • Choice of 20GB, 30GB, 40GB or 60GB hard drives

Pioneer

Plasma

Pioneer’s plasma displays have received the Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certification of compliance. The Pioneer Plasma provides plug & play drivers to support Microsoft Windows The new deep encased cell structure and pure colour filter provide notably improved brightness and contrast as compared to previous models. For a 43 inch large-screen display, the PDP-433 MXE is thin and lightweight (98mm, 31.5 kg). It also has heat radiation design that improves its environmental operating conditions.

Asus

Pundit

The Pundit is about a third of the size of a conventional desktop PC. It supports the Pentium 4 processor with 533MHz FSB (front side bus) and DDR333 memory. It supports PCMCIA, 4-in-1card reader (MMC, SD, SM, MS), IEEE 1394 and S/PDIF digital audio. In addition, the Pundit provides DVI out, TV out and 5.1-channel audio-out.

Features:

  • Support for 2.8GHz+ Pentium 4 CPU and DDR 333 memory.
  • The USB 2.0 interface, headphone jack, IEEE 1394 port, PCMCIA slot and 4-in-1 card reader for expansion.
  • Built-in features such as TV-out, 5.1-channel audio-out, S/PDIF digital audio, DVI-out enable a complete multimedia experience. The Pundit combines PC, TV, video recording, home entertainment, CD, MP3, VCD and DVD functions in one package.
  • The approximate price is Rs. 30, 000.

PRINTRONIX

Zero tear line Matrix Printers

Printronix has launched the latest addition to its dot matrix printer family. It has created Zero Tear printers for applications requiring precise accounting of all forms or for forms that are simply too expensive to waste. These dmp models (P5000ZT) allow users to print from the first to the last line on every form and then tear it off without losing any forms in between. Printronix claims that a serial matrix printer’s consumable cost can be up to 12 times more expensive than Printronix’s Zero Tear Printer.

BenQ

Joybee 110

BenQ has launched Joybee 110, an MP3 player with adjustable playback speed integrated recording, a microphone, and up to 3,000 minutes of audio recording capacity.

Other features include:

  • Adjustable recording audio quality for regular; Pop; Classical; Jazz; Rock and Bass. Speech equalizer settings, segment repeat (A/B) and options for playback speed. With its small dimensions and long battery life (~10 hours), the Joybee 110 is designed for on-the-move performance.
  • The Joybee 110 offers multifunction features such as voice recording and USB flash drive capabilities and comes with BenQ’s Q-Music software for music editing. In addition, the product has upgradeable firmware BenQ will launch four models of its MP3 player including the Joybee 110. The other three are the Joybee 120, Joybee 150 and Joybee 180.
