Sas launches advanced BI tool

Circuit EC / Mumbai

SAS India recently launched SAS 9 version of its BI application with enhanced analytics and refined user interfaces. Vivek Gokarn, managing director and chief executive officer at SAS India said, “We grew 30 percent in 2003 and SAS 9 is expected to drive this pace of growth at an even higher level to 40 percent by actually expanding the market for BI solutions.”

To support this growth, SAS India aims to expand its direct customer facing team and alliance partners. This is in line with the overall strategy of expanding solution domain expertise. To further augment SAS 9 knowledge among its extended team, SAS 9 plans to impart training on SAS 9 solutions to core members of its alliance partners who in turn would train close to 100-plus executives in SAS implementation across the country. The company currently has consulting alliances with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Infotech, Satyam and MindTree Consulting.
