HP bets on Itanium without losing sight of PA-RISC
AFTER Intel launched Itanium 2, Hewlett-Packard (HP) put immense amounts of revenue resources into research and platform development. HP didn’t just jump on the bandwagon—it was also the front runner in parading a host of new products using Itanium. In a real sense, HP has moved the company behind Itanium (as said by the then HP chief technology officer, Richard DeMillo).

Nagpur: Emerging destination for India IT Inc
Nagpur is Maharashtra’s second capital, India’s second greenest city and an orange lover’s paradise. But beyond tourism brochures, Nagpur has close to 40 educational institutes in the vicinity, a technically skilled workforce that is available at relatively lower salaries, and the city also features an international airport in the making.

Managed storage services finally take off
The Indian storage market has gone from strength to strength in the recent past. IDC has forecasted a CAGR of 65 percent for this market segment. Some enterprises are doubling their storage capacity in less than a year.
