NSE.IT and Thinksoft in strategic partnership

THINKSOFT, one of the leading players in independent testing of financial software, and NSE.IT, a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange, have announced the formation of a strategic partnership that aims to expand their service offerings to stock exchanges and related participants in the securities domain across the globe.

Testing is an integral part of any software organisation, and now the trend is moving towards domain-specific testing, which is reflected in the increased levels of outsourced testing.

Said Satish Naralkar, managing director and chief executive officer of NSE.IT, “Thinksoft and NSE.IT will leverage their respective strengths. Our domain-focused approach and domain expertise will be a winning combination in the niche area of independent testing for organisations in the securities market.”

Globally, the securities segment accounts for a significant part of the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) market, and testing services in this segment is estimated at $50 million. “We believe that NSE.IT’s domain expertise in securities coupled with Thinksoft’s track record of independent testing for global banks will enable us to present a compelling value proposition to our customers,” said Asvini Kumar, chief executive officer of Thinksoft Global Services. “We found an amazing statistic recently that mentions the discovery of 5-15 bugs in every 1,000 lines of code written. When mission-critical software for stock exchanges and real-time application software for brokerage firms gets affected due to defective software, it affects productivity considerably.”
