CSI & MKCL organise national workshop
THE Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd (MKCL), together with the Computer
Society Of India (CSI), the largest association of IT professionals in the country,
have organised a two-day workshop on Software Lifecycle Management. The workshop
will be held at Pune on May 11 & 12, 2004.
The 2-day workshopthe first of its kindoffers basic building blocks
for improving processes in ICT organisations. Faculty and students from IT education
are also encouraged to attend this workshop to gain insights into the latest
software development trends in the industry. It will cover areas such as Estimation,
Six Sigma, Project Management, CASE Tools, eTesting, CMM, etc.
Using MKCLs model of a virtual classroom, over 5,000 professionals at
many places in Maharashtra will be able to witness the event.
The workshop speakers are globally-recognised experts in their field of operation,
and have achieved excellence with an optimal mix of theory and practical experience
of SLM tools and methodologies.
The event is supported by speakers from the British Computer Society & ITSMF,
UK. The keynote speech will be given by Dr D B Phatak of IIT Powai. Other speakers
include Dr Vijay Bhatkar, chairman, Dishnet; Aiden Laws, chief executive officer,
ITSMF, UK; Sesh Sukhdeo, consultant, Commonwealth Telecom Organisation, London;
Pradeep Deshpande, Six Sigma Consulting, US; Lawrie Dobson, chief executive
officer, ISV Group, UK; Dr R Srinivasan, former director of NAL and iCMG; Dr
V B Kaujalgi of IIM Bangalore; and Achyut Godbole, director, Disha Technologies.
