VisualSoft starts BPO operations in Hyderabad

CIRCUIT EC / Hyderabad

VISUALSOFT Technologies, the Hyderabad-based product and solutions provider, has announced the launch of its BPO operations in the city with a 500-seat centre. The company has spent Rs 18 crore on the new facility, which is

called VisualSoft Interactions. Initially, it will focus on pilot projects and take up transaction processing, market research and technical support. Commercial operations are expected to start by the second week of April.

“VisualSoft expects a return on investment in 15 months, and we have tied up with an American BPO company that has about 7,000 employees. We have already recruited 40 professionals in our first batch, and the headcount will be scaled up to 350 in the next 12 months. At present, the newly recruited employees are under training. We have already taken up pilot programmes for them,” revealed D V S Raju, chairman and managing director, VisualSoft.

The company has been involved in providing developer solutions, technology frameworks, enterprise applications and professional automation tools in the area of e-business, security, business intelligence, knowledge management and mobile solutions. VisualSoft has about 850 people in its IT division, and plans to increase this count by another 120 during the next quarter.

Raju also indicated that the company’s plans to kick off its Rs 15 crore BPO operations at Vizag have been put off for the time being. “We are waiting for an appropriate time when the ongoing backlash is reduced and the US elections are over. Our Vizag BPO plans still stand, but needs more time to take off,” he explained. The company has taken up around 100 acres at Vizag to construct the BPO office and residential accommodation for its employees.
