The Goa Agenda—Emerging Markets in IT

The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with the IT department of Goa is organising a two-day conference on the theme ‘The Goa Agenda—Emerging Markets in IT’ between February 20-21, 2004, in Goa.

The objective of the programme is to understand the emerging dynamics in the IT industry in order to tap potential areas more effectively. The seminar would also identify the size of the market space and do a SWOT anlaysis for information markets. The topics covered include governance information market, managerial information market and operational information market.

Among the prominent IT personalities who will attend as speakers on this two-day event are F C Kohli of TCS, Satish Jha of Digital Partners, A Godbole of Disha, S Sunderajan of Selectica India and S Ramkrishna of C-DAC.

The first Goa Agenda in the series was held in December 2002 on the theme ‘IT for Society’. This event will be a brand-building exercise for Goa as a preferred IT destination in the country and provide opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds, ranging from CEOs to heads of governments, officials of neighbouring states and other ministers. The meet will discuss issues that are of real importance to everyone, instead of intellectual or theoretical frameworks and also understand the work done in the IT sector by the Goa government and the Chamber.
