Invensys to set up new development centre in Hyderabad
Invensys, one of the leaders in management of production and energy resources, plans to set up a new software development centre at Vanenburg IT Park, Hyderabad. The 35,000 sq. ft. facility will be operational soon.

Accenture to up headcount in India
Accenture is gearing up to ramp up its headcount in India from 4,300 to 10,000 employees by end-2004. The additional hires in India would work in the areas of consulting, software services, BPO and call centre operations.

Trend Micro, a leading vendor of network anti-virus and Internet content security software services recently announced the introduction of new products designed to address the needs of small and medium enterprises.

Battery Ventures to invest up to $105 mn in 3 tech firms
Battery Ventures, a venture capital (VC) firm with funds to the tune of $1 billion under its management, is in the final stage of discussions with three Indian companies located in Bangalore and Chennai. The VC firm is looking at investing anywhere up to $35 million in each of these companies, once the evaluation is completed.

Dell to ramp up India team by 2,000 with new centre
The world’s largest PC maker, Dell, is growing its presence in India and has set up its third centre in Chandigarh. This will increase its headcount by about 50 percent with the addition of over 2,000 professionals here.
