Samsung
set to enter Indian notebook market with premium offerings
Samsung India Electronics IT and Telecom division has unveiled
plans to enter the Indian notebook market within the first quarter
of 2004. The company, which is already selling notebooks across
18 other countries, will be launching around 8-10 models in the
initial phase.
iGATE
signs $20 million banking deal
iGATE Global Solutions has signed a $20 million deal with ING Vysya
Bank. Under the terms of this deal iGATE will assist the bank in
formulating its IT and IS strategies. iGATE will help ING Vysya
identify and procure hardware.

Software International enters into tie-ups with UK-based companies
Cranes Software International (CSIL) has entered into a tie-up with
the UK-based Lanner Group and Popkin Software. CSIL will distribute
products from these companies in India, including Witness, Simba
and System Architect.
WebEx
Inc to acquire CyberBazaar
California-based WebEx Communication, a leading solutions provider
for Web-based communications services, has entered into an agreement
to acquire its Indian solutions partner CyberBazaar (India) in a
$4 million cash deal.
