Base Info launches BI for SMEs

Chitra Padmanabhan / Mumbai

Base Information Management, a company specialising in enterprise-wide integrated solutions has developed Insight, a business intelligence (BI) tool catering to the SME segment. Unlike top-rung organisations, having elaborate IT budgets, SMEs essentially require a cost-effective solution that meet their requirements.

In order to achieve this, Base Info has devised a corporate licence model as against the popular user licence model.

What this means is that companies pay a standard amount irrespective of number of users. “Actual benefits of a BI solution can be derived only when it is made accessible to maximum employees and not just the top people in an organisation. The corporate licence model enhances the usage of the BI tool,” says Nilay Sharma, director, Base Information Management.

The company’s clients for the BI tool include Supreme Industries, Dishman Pharmaceuticals, Biostat, Marathon Builders, Jayant Oil Mills, etc. With the launch of this tool, the company expects to grow at a rate of 80 percent.
