CSI event in December
The CSI National Convention 2003 will be held at IIT, New Delhi from December
11-13 2003. Organised by the Computer Society of India (CSI), Indias premier
body of IT professionals, the mega event, to be attended by over 1,200 professionals
and delegates, will be inaugurated by the President A P J Abdul Kalam. The themeICT
for Prosperity of Mankindreflects the technological gains India
has made in information technology.
The conventions inaugural session is to be addressed by R A Malshekar,
director general of CSIR and Prof M S Swaminathan of MSSRF. CSI has put together
a fine team of thought-provoking speakers to address the various plenary sessions
at the convention.
The list of speakers include
K N Gupta of the Ministry of Communications and IT, Prof S Chandrasekhar of
FORE School of Management and Prof R Sadananda of AIT, Bangkok among others.
The various theme areas include distributed and network-based computing, VLSI,
database management systems, computer vision and robotics, microprocessors and
computer architecture, multimedia computing, artificial intelligence, weather
forecasting, remote sensing, mobile computing, image processing, digital signal
processing, bio-informatics and bilingual computing.
