BMC Software, an enterprise systems management company is all set to expand its India operations by setting up its R&D centre in Pune. The company is planning to scale up its strength from 300 in 2003 to about 500 early next year. Since Aug 2001, when it started its Indian subsidiary, the company has invested $1.8 million in India and has earmarked an investment of over $3 million for its expansion plans during this financial year. The India centre is an integral part of BMC Software’s global R&D, collaborating with the company’s other technology centres for the design, development, maintenance and support of BMC’s software products.
