Neilsoft launches advanced CAD/CAM app
Neilsoft has recently launched QEdifice—an e-collaboration tool for engineering defect lifecycle management. Through this software, companies can detect any defects that may have occurred in the product lifecycle and correct the same.

Aventail opens R&D centre
Aventail Corporation, a SSL VPN provider, has opened an R&D centre in Bangalore. The centre will have a strength of 75 by the end of 2004.

Seagate, a player in the hard drives space has launched its consumer electronics (CE) hard drives, specifically catering to the digital content space.

IT biggies eyeing global delivery models: Forrester
In a bid to achieve full scale ‘global delivery models’, IT firms appear to be rationalising future corporate strategies. Three US vendors—IBM, EDS and Accenture —and the big three Indian IT services companies—Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro—are working on strategies to achieve this goal, according to Forrester Research Group director, John C McCarthy.

BFSI exports worth $10 bn in ’06: Nasscom
India’s IT export revenues from the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector are likely to account for $10 billion in 2006 from $3.32 billion in 2003, according to Nasscom.
