SISL launches Media Connect

Siemens Information Systems (SISL) has launched Media
Connect to meet the specific needs of the media and publishing industry.
Media Connect will facilitate transactional and promotional information
exchange between media houses and advertising space buyers. It will help in
automating the order placement of advertisements and exchange of information
with advertising space buyers over the Internet.
A S Vishwanathan, executive director, SISL says, There
is a practical necessity to automate the entire process of advertisement workflow
in real time.
Magic’s India foray
Magic Software Enterprises India, a 100 percent subsidiary
of the Israel-based Magic Software Enterprises, plans to foray into the Indian
development market.
The company has released the latest version of eDeveloper,
targeted at the burgeoning developer community in the country. Magic has also
unveiled iBOLT, an integration platform for which the company claims to have
received an heartening response.
The company, which plans to initially focus on mid-
and high-range companies has already appointed 13 active channel partners across
the country.
By the end of the current year Magic plans to set up
sales and marketing teams in all the metros and other A and B class cities in
the country.
NetScaler ties-up with Apara

NetScaler India has entered into a tie up with Apara Enterprise
Solutions by signing a value added reseller (VAR) agreement. The relationship
will allow Apara to market and sell the NetScaler 9000 Series of secure application
networking systems in the Indian market.
AP wins CSI IT award
Computer Society of India recently hosted the CSI national
IT awards for 2002-2003 to recognise the significant contributions made by IT
professionals in India. The government of Andhra Pradesh won the best IT usage
award for its Rural eSeva project. The award was jointly shared with Pune-based
Divinet Access Technologies for its products Ramnet and Wicenet.
The award for the best packaged application developed
in India was jointly shared by Hyderabad-based Satyam Computer Services and
Pune-based Compulink Systems. Pramati Technologies, another Hyderabad-based
company, won in the best shrink-wrapped product category for its contribution
to the Rural eSeva project. Other key winners included Bangalores Web
Peripherals, C-DAC, Neilsoft and Hughes Software Systems.
