IBM launches Solutions Architecting Group

IBM India Software Labs has launched its Solutions Architecting Group. The group will work closely with IBM’s customers in India to architect solutions to meet their strategic and business needs using IBM Software Group’s products. It will provide product knowledge, design and development, proof of concept and offer solutions in the telecom, retail, life sciences and financial verticals.

Dr Uday Shukla, director, IBM India Software Labs said, “IBM creates, develops and deploys new technologies keeping real-world customer requirements in mind. The Solutions Architecting Group will let our customers across domains take advantage of on demand business and ensure increasing returns on their IT investments.”

Customers in India will have access to IBM Software Labs’ vast pool of experts having in-depth expertise on IBM Software Group’s products, design and development. The group will also work with customers to understand, apply and customise IBM products to ensure optimal returns on their investments.

IBM’s Software Labs, established in 2001, is located in Bangalore and Pune and works on WebSphere, DB2, Tivoli and Rational. The centre has also added new areas of activities such as middleware and business intelligence and will play a major role in IBM’s global Linux initiatives by establishing a Linux Technology centre in Bangalore.
