Partnerships: The way to build business

Circuit EC / Mumbai

“Innovation in technology and business practices are key factors that need to be addressed if an enterprise wants to enhance performance,” said Anupam Haldar of IBM Global Services, while speaking at Bizintegrate, a seminar jointly organised by Navision India, distributors for Microsoft Business Solutions (MSS), and Express Computer. The seminar emphasised on the need to collaborate with the right partner to increase revenues, reduce costs and ensure optimum realisation of technological investments.

Sushant Dwivedy, program manager-ISV for Microsoft India highlighted the various external as well as internal factors that affect enterprise performance. These include internal issues like operating in functional silos, lack of integration, sub-optimal relationships with business partners, and unsophisticated consumer analytics. Increased competition and empowered consumer behaviour are leading to pain points in the areas of product development, positioning, inventory management and service levels.
According to Ashish Bhatnagar, head-technology for Navision India, by collaborating with the right technology partner these issues can be effectively addressed. But most companies are still not clear about their priorities or the RoI expected. Lack of resources, incompatible systems, security concerns and basic lack of trust are other factors that hinder organisations from effective collaboration for building businesses.
