Samsung to popularise cyber games

Samsung India Electronics and India Games have announced the India Preliminary of the ‘Cyber Olympics,’ which will determine India's delegation to the Third World Cyber Games (WCG) to be held in Korea.

The prelims have already begun. 1,000 participants, mostly from the age group from six to 20 years, participated in the Bangalore preliminaries, including participants from Orissa and Kerala.

Samsung is trying to use PC gaming to boost PC penetration. Vivek Prakash, vice president, Samsung India says, “The PC is a very significant gaming platform and through the World Cyber Games we will increase PC proliferation in India.
